Back in the motherland: Milla Jovovich is a swirly girlie in a striking dress at Moscow premiere of Resident Evil: Retribution
Its been over 30 years since Milla Jovovich left the then-USSR before eventually settling in California.
But despite being an American citizen these days, Milla still has a lot of affection for her former home as she attended the Moscow premiere of her latest film Resident Evil: Retribution.
The mother-of-one, 36, looked striking in a multi-coloured swirly bandeau dress by Reem Acra as she arrived on the red carpet with English husband - and the film's director - Paul W.S. Anderson, 47.

Although born in Kiev in modern-day Ukraine, Milla still looks at Russia as well as her home.
She tweeted ahead of the screening: 'Hey hey! We're about to enter the Russian premiere of RE:R!! So excited!!'
Ahead of arriving in Russia, Milla has also been promoting the film in Japan, with the Los Angeles premiere scheduled to take place on September 12.
Loved up: Milla shares a kiss with her husband - and the film's director Paul W.S. Anderson on the red carpet
She tweeted from Tokyo earlier this week: 'Now we're leaving 4 the premiere in Moscow! It's gonna be so great 2 go back 2 my homeland n c my friends! Gotta board now!'
Despite being together 10 years, it appears Milla and Paul are as smitten as ever as they kissed on the red carpet.
The couple met on the set of the first Resident Evil film and have been together ever since.
Back to where it all began: Milla lived in the then-USSR until she was five years old
All that glitters: The actress teamed her dress with silver earrings and a beaded necklace with her short hair in a sideways style
Although Paul proposed in 2003, they didn't get round to tying the knot until 2009.
In November 2007, the couple became a family following the birth of their daughter Ever.
In the fifth film of the popular saga, Alice, played by Jovovich, is still out to destroy the evil Umbrella Corporation, but joins a group of survivors who want to relocate to the mysterious but supposedly unharmed safe haven known as Arcadia.
Fierce: Earlier that day, Milla enjoyed a rooftop photocall against the backdrop of Moscow's stunning architecture
