Auto-Rooting STOCK Kernels for S6 Edge Plus

After receiving a whole bunch of requests in my kernel thread and via PM I decided to take the plunge and Build a STOCK, NON Unified Auto-Root/BusyBox kernel for the

928 F / I / C / L / K / S
928 T / W8

S6 Edge Plus only

This is a totally stock kernel with absolutely no tweaks or other modifications other than what is require to compile it. It is a Permissive kernel so private mode will break. Built from 928 AOH6 Source drop.

RIGHT NOW THIS IS UNTESTED. ONLY FLASH IF YOU KNOW HOW TO ODIN BACK TO FULL STOCK (in case it does not work)

This is a blind build, I have no 928 testers. Make sure you download the right one for your device!

SM-G925 is S6 Edge and the SM-G928 is the S6 Edge+

Yes, this will trip KNOX. Flashing anything custom will trip KNOX.

Ummmmm. The dev said its for G928 not G925 (also written for S6 Edge Plus Only). So if I am not mistaken, it's for Edge+.

AT&T and Verizon has locked bootloader. You need to flash a custom kernel to get root. Since you cannot flash it (locked bootloader), you cannot root the phone.

I'm going to return my phone and get the international version. I have a Nexus 6 I love but might sell. I would like to keep the Samsung pay option though.

So i took the plunge and odin'd the kernel for tmobile s6edge plus. Phone booted up but shortly after rebooted.


update 1: i didn't do any wipes or anything so that may have been reason why. I just booted into recovery and wiped caches. We'll see if this helps.


update 2: after wipes ......phone still reboots

I'm familiar with the whole AT&T locked bootloader rooting issue, and it can't be rooted via the ODIN method...but would there be a way to install a custom recovery (TWRP), completely wipe the OS along with everything else on the phone, then flash a custom or deodexed version of the OS?
I've done this before on both my HTC M8 and M9, but both already had TWRP installed. I relocked the bootloader on the M8 and was still able to do it that way. But this is my first venture into Samsung.
