There hasn't been a lot of concrete information coming out of the Avengers: Infinity War shoot, but the latest on-set photo from Robert Downey Jr may have revealed a surprising spoiler about his character.

If you take a close look at the Iron Man actor's T-shirt, you will notice that there appears to be a hole in the middle of it.

Eagle-eyed fans have suggested this could indicate the return of the arc reactor that was embedded in Tony Stark's chest between Iron Man and Iron Man 3.

Iron Man installed the device to prevent shrapnel buried in his chest from reaching his heart and killing him. The reactor also produced enough energy to power his suit.

It was removed in Iron Man 3, when Stark declared that he was quitting playing the superhero (only to mysteriously reverse his decision in time for Avengers: Age of Ultron). The reactor, however, was not reinstalled.

Unless he was wearing a costume from a flashback scene, it looks like Anthony and Joe Russo's movie might give him a reason to put the arc reactor back into his chest. We suspect it won't be a good reason, either. Maybe another accident, or a terrible threat to Earth that demands more power for Iron Man.

A previous on-set photo revealed an apparent spoiler for Thor: Ragnarok, too.

Avengers: Infinity War will be released on April 27, 2018, in the UK and May 4, 2018, in the US.
