Avengers: Infinity War will feature an action sequence that will make Captain America: Civil War's airport battle seem like a stroll in the park.

In case you need reminding, Civil War's huge set piece saw Team Iron Man go up against Team Captain America and it was incredible.

But directors Joe and Anthony Russo have been teasing to Collider that there's a sequence in Infinity War that is much, MUCH bigger than the airport scene that they were also in charge of directing.

"We have an equivalent that's like, if you had a comic book and you open it up to your double panel and then you fold it out, and then you folded it out again and again," Joe explained, with Anthony adding: "And you have another comic book laid out next to it."

So, that's big then?

It could well be the movie's final battle in Wakanda that we've seen teased in the trailers, especially as it's been confirmed that the entire third act of Infinity War takes place in Black Panther's kingdom.

Or maybe the new trailer that is landing today (March 16) will give us a look at a different action scene in Infinity War that could be as big in scale.

The Russo Brothers have also been explaining how next year's Avengers 4 isn't just Infinity War – Part 2 and is instead a standalone story in its own right.

"It isn't a true two-parter," Joe noted. "As we developed the movie, in execution, it ended up being more of two singular expressions."

Avengers: Infinity War hits UK cinemas on April 26 and US cinemas on April 27.
