Baby fever has hit the Middleton family.
Pippa Middleton, the younger sister of Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, is expecting her first child with husband James Matthews, The Sun reports.
The happy news comes just as Kate is expected to give birth to her third child with Prince William. The royal couple are already parents to 4-year-old George and 2-year-old Charlotte.
Pippa, 34, wed her financier husband, 42, last May near the Middleton family home in Bucklebury, England.
The affair featured Prince George as a pageboy, and marked a milestone for Prince Harry’s relationship with then-girlfriend Meghan Markle, who was allowed to attend the reception despite Pippa’s “no ring no bring” rule. Harry and Markle are set to tie the knot next month.
A source told the British paper Kate “could not have been more delighted” to learn her little sister would be a first-time mom.
“It’s been a tough few weeks for the two families, so this has provided some much-needed happiness and light relief,” the source said.
Pippa’s father-in-law, David Matthews, was charged last month with raping a child in the late ’90s in France, according to the AFP.
