At least 150 CISF personnel to join Parliament security following a breach in the Lok Sabha visitors’ gallery where two individuals jumped and released yellow smoke. CISF will handle access control, frisking visitors, screening bags, and ensuring fire safety. CISF unit, headed by an AC rank officer, will have 36 personnel from the fire wing.

The Supreme Court Wednesday agreed to examine Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra's plea challenging her expulsion from Lok Sabha on grounds of "unethical conduct" and sought the lok sabha secretariat's response. But, it refused to stay the expulsion to allow her to participate in LS proceedings during pendency of the case, reports Amit Anand Choudhary.
