'The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones' Soundtrack Features Jessie J, Demi Lovato, Owl City & More

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” will hit theaters next month and, to get the kiddies excited, Screen Gems and Republic Records has released the track listing for the film’s accompanying soundtrack. The disc will be released in stores and available for digital download on August 20th, and includes tween-friendly artists such as Jessie J, Demi Lovato, Owl City, and AFI (wait, they still exist?). You can check out the complete tracklist below.

It will be interesting to see if ‘City of Bones’ can come close to replicating the success of the “Twilight” franchise. As this year’s “Beautiful Creatures” proves, not every young adult fantasy novel will necessarily translate into big bucks when adapted to the big screen. That said, if ‘City of Bones’ does prove to be successful, you can expect five more of these bad boys in the next couple of years. In the meantime, “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” comes out on August 21st, coincidentally, just two weeks after “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters” is released. Together, they shall duke it out over which one of them has the more boring and generic movie title. [Hollywood Crush]
