This document explains the underlying technologies, standards, and philosophies embodied in this site.

This site is built using Free and Open Source softwares (see FSF or OSI, respectively) and also reflects a commitment to accessibility, usability, and browser compatibility.
An overview of aspects of this site includes:

Free and Open Source software. This site is hosted using the Apache Web Server on the Linux platform.

Web Standards. This site is built using W3C standards for XHTML and CSS.
Accessibility. This site is built using technologies to make it more accessible to those with using alternative browser technologies, such as people with visual impairments or PDAs and cell phones.
