The scent that convinced me to try something new.

I am a creature of habit when it comes to perfume. I wore Gucci Envy Me from the ages of 13 up to 24. Then I found Phlur and made Hanami my everyday scent (and told anyone who would listen about the brand). Now, I have found my new obsession. Tam Dao from Diptyque is a mysterious scent that evolves as it settles. If you like sandalwood-heavy fragrance, you’ll love this. It’s a deep, woody smell that feels elegant, something I never thought I would feel when it came to fragrance. It makes me feel like I finally understand those weirdly cryptic perfume commercials you see on daytime television with celebrities walking through ponds while naked or something. Set it and forget it with these plant watering stakes.

When it comes to taking care of plants, I am not the greatest. That doesn’t stop me from filling my apartment with every piece of greenery I can get my hands on (though, my boyfriend usually takes care of the watering because, well, I forget). And with great plants comes great responsibility, a responsibility that could easily be shirked if you go on vacation. That’s where these little plant stakes come in. These little hydrating machines are the perfect thing to keep your plants happy. Use them by filling a bowl of water and soaking the stake and tube for 15 minutes. Then, fill the stake with water, close the cap, and stick it into the pot you want to water, keeping the tube in the bowl beside the plant. As the soil dries, it creates a vacuum around the cone that you put in it. It then draws water up through the tube and gradually waters the soil. Once the soil is sufficiently soaked, the vacuum breaks and the water flow stops. You can even use one big bowl to water multiple plants at once (that’s what I do). - Jillian

I’ve had a Lasko oscillating fan in my room since I was a teenager. And after Lasko sent me one of its mainstay oscillating fans, the Lasko Wind Curve, I wasn’t surprised to find it worked as it always had — perfectly. It’s not designed with future verve and it doesn’t hit the minimalist design sensibilities we see in many higher-end products, and yet it delivers.
