In October of 2007, former Miami Hurricanes football player Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson donated $1 million to the Football Facilities Renovation Fund, which was the biggest donation from a former Miami athlete the school had ever received. The Rock was a defensive lineman for the Hurricanes in the early 1990s, before making a very short stint in the Canadian Football League and then turning to the family business of professional wrestling. The school named the locker room after The Rock following his donation, but on Friday, with recent renovations complete, Miami revealed a new look to the press.
