About the Immigrant Information Corners
The Immigrant Information Corners at all 26 of the Boston Public Library's locations are a strategic collaboration between the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Boston Public Library, the City of Boston Mayor's Office of Immigrant Advancement, as well as community partners. They are meant to serve as information stations for Boston's immigrants and refugees, giving access to citizenship and other immigration related materials in multiple languages, information about citizenship preparation assistance, as well as information about financial empowerment resources.
This resource guide is made in conjunction with these corners and includes:
USCIS - United States Citizenship and Immigration Services
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is the government agency that oversees lawful immigration to the United States.  You can visit the homepage at to  find immigration information, forms, resources, including Citizenship preparation materials, check your case status, find a USCIS Office, and make an appointment.
Mayor's Office For Immigrant Advancement
The mission of Mayor's Office for Immigrant Advancement is to strengthen the ability of immigrants and Boston’s diverse cultural and linguistic communities to fully participate in the economic, civic, social, and cultural life of our great City. They work to promote the commemoration and public understanding of the contributions of immigrants to Boston.

The office provides public education to inform immigrants about City services, information, and referral to community services, as well as information in conducting outreach to immigrant groups. They conduct on-going outreach, including surveys to identify concerns and problems that immigrants face in Boston. They also work with City departments to better reach and serve diverse cultural and linguistic communities and create a welcoming multicultural environment.
