Vir Das has uploaded a new Maggi song for the nation's benefit on his YouTube channel.
The song, performed by Das and his band, Alien Chutney, describes all that's right (and wrong) about our love for Maggi. The premise is similar to the earliest Maggi ads--a child comes home from school and asks his mother for something to eat. The mother is, however, busy. The only option left is Maggi instant noodles.

With lyrics like 'a lot of lead in it and it only takes a minute', it might appear that Vir Das is reviving the MSG issue, but with a claim like 'Masala is my King', it becomes quite clear that he's welcoming back the brand with open arms.
So much so that he states, or rather sings, that the other instant noodle brands just don't compare with the stature and deliciousness of Maggi. He dismisses the long-term nutritional disadvantages that consuming Maggi can cause with these lines: "So many things in India you eat and you wind up dead...I don't care about no lead."
The very sentiments every single human in love with Maggi will sing along with!
