The Orange Bowl in Miami, one of America's most famous sporting venues,
faces an uncertain future.
The University of Miami's American football team, the Hurricanes, currently call the Orange Bowl home, but have decided to quit the stadium.
They will move to the Dolphin Stadium in 2008 on a 25-year deal, following the example of previous Orange Bowl tenants, the NFL's Miami Dolphins.
With no permanent resident, the ageing 70,000-capacity stadium may close.
The Orange Bowl, renamed from the Burdine Stadium in 1959, has housed the Hurricanes since it opened in 1937.
The team won three national championship games on its pitch and had a NCAA-record 58-game home winning streak from 1985 to 1994.
The Orange Bowl has also hosted five Super Bowls, a famous speech by President John F Kennedy to Cuban exiles after the failed Bay of Pigs invasion, concerts, boxing and Olympic soccer matches in 1996.
It has recently been used to stage soccer matches in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
