Stamp Me app replaces loyalty cards

Now all a customer needs is a smartphone.

Stamp Me, a business set up by Melbourne entrepreneurs Alan Donaldson and Shannon Magowan, has addressed the hassle of remembering to carry around different loyalty cards and to produce them at the point of purchase.

The customer simply downloads Stamp Me’s free app, creates an account, and uses it to scan the QR code at the point of sale. The stamps are kept on the phone and rewards are redeemed after collecting the required number of stamps by showing the screen.

The Stamp Me app works across multiple stores and brands, and it allows businesses to gain insights into their customers’ buying patterns.

Co-Founder Shannon Magowan said, “The take up has been beyond our expectations since we started testing earlier this year, we now have over 200 businesses with thousands of users. Our focus has been on coffee shops, fast food, hair & beauty and other services like car washes.”

Meanwhile Alan Donaldson said they are now ready for the multiple chain stores, QSR’s, and franchisees. They are in the final stage of launching in this segment.

Magowan added, “Australia is one of the highest users of smartphones per capita in the world, and it makes sense to carry your loyalty cards on it.”
