Patricia Clark, Chris Apostle Join NY Ad Sales Team of GeoCities.Com

Beverly Hills, CA, Aug. 2--Patricia Clark was named senior account executive and Christopher G. Apostle account executive in the New York office of GeoCities (www.geocities.com). One of the most highly trafficked sites on the World Wide Web, GeoCities operates 24 advertising-sponsored online communities themed after real-world landmark locations.

"Patricia and Chris form the New York nucleus of advertising sales teams we are building also in Chicago and Los Angeles, and we believe they have the experience to jump start our business in the northeast," said vice president of advertising Paul A. DeBraccio.

Ms. Clark, who will be responsible for liquor, imported autos, computers and financial accounts, was previously senior advertising manager at SPY. She earlier held sales posts at Hachette Filipacchi Magazines, Meredith Corporation and Hearst Magazines. She is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.

Mr. Apostle, whose accounts will include sports, media, music and beer, was formerly an account executive with Radio TV Reports. Before that, he was special events and promotions coordinator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University. GeoCities provides nearly l00,000 GeoCitizens with free home pages in online communities with names like SiliconValley, WallStreet, NapaValley and Broadway, where they can create content reflecting their special interests.

Ranked consistently among top web sites, GeoCities reported 34 million page views and l56 million hits in its June audited statement from Nielsen I/PRO.
