GeoCities Heartland Community Leaders

Here are the Community Leaders for the Heartland neighborhood. They are homesteaders who have volunteered to watch over your community and help their neighbors set up home pages, answer questions, and generally keep everything running smoothly. You'll see them in the chat rooms and newsgroups, and they may even e-mail you directly to introduce themselves. Feel free to contact them directly if you have questions -- they're here to help.

If you're interested in becoming a Community Leader yourself, please read our Information Page for more details on the program.

The Heartland leaders have set up a neighborhood resource center at Heartland7546, where you'll find pointers to important GeoCities features and a list of leaders' block assignments. You can also subscribe to the Heartland Chronicles, a free bi-weekly newsletter the Heartland leaders have created especially for Heartland residents.

jtaylor@stic.net
Heartland2121
Cybermom is a stay-at-home mom of three sons, one of whom is about to go off to college. She leaves most of the computer techie stuff up to her husband, but she does know a bit about building HTML pages. If she doesn't know the answer to your question, she promises to find out. She's always willing to help out her GeoNeighbors.
joberger (Joanna Berger)
joberger@juno.com
Heartland4192
Joanna is 15 years old and in the 11th grade. She moved into Heartland to create a page directed toward teens on the Web. She's not an HTML expert but can recommend many good places online to learn - everything she does know how to do she taught herself using online tutorials. She'd love to offer a critical eye to other homesteaders and will offer many ways to improve your sites.
HairbaLL1 (Todd Fairfoul)
fairfoul@inforamp.net
Heartland4817
Todd moved into Heartland because he was interested in joining a nice family community online. He applied to be a Community Leader because he was interested in giving something back and because he wants to be more a part of his community.
anitaford (Anita Ford)
anitaford@geocities.com
Heartland2834
Anita Ford moved into GeoCities' Heartland several months ago because she wanted to build her own little home on the web...who knew she'd take it literally? Since discovering GeoCities and HTML'ing, she has virtually no life outside the computer. She'd be more'n happy to visit pages, make suggestions, heck, even just to sign guestbooks...and her strengths are in graphics and basic HTML work.
Ltparis
ltparis@geocities.com
Heartland3430
cbc_youth first moved into SiliconValley but switched to Heartland when he was asked to create his church's youth homepage. He's great with computers (even better than his dad!), goes to church and is active in his youth group.

Heartland5051
Kip is a communications student at the University of Utah and serves as an executive officer in the student government. He is also an A+ Certified Technician with a major computer company, providing support and training for users at all levels. He has authored a number of websites. Bonny, Kip's wife, is also a student and is always willing to lend a hand, so you may hear from her as well. Kip and Bonny invite you to drop by the Keil family site and send them e-mail anytime.
gryeyes (Linda Olmstead)
gryeyes@redshift.com
Heartland7255
Linda homesteaded in GeoCities back in July '96 and joined GeoPlus in October, spending nearly as much time there a day as she does at her real job of Communications Supervisor for a major California Law Enforcement agency. She chose Heartland as her neighborhood, because she's the "Dispatcher Next Door" type, working to protect individuals, families, and home values. If she doesn't know the answer to a home-page kind of question, she'll find somebody who DOES!
Scottgcool (Scott Groppenbecker)

wilburama (Jim Gaylord)
jimg@inforamp.net
Heartland 4140
Jim moved into Heartland as an HTML novice to set up a site for kids and pet owners to tell the world how much their dog/cat/bird/pot-bellied pig means to them. He's retired, so he has a lot of time to help. If he can't answer your questions, he may be able to persuade Wilbur the Wonderdog to get involved.
Randall8 (Dennis Randall)
randall8@tiac.net
Heartland 8480
Dennis joined the online world after spending 14 years working as an editor with various small-town newspapers. Naturally, he's started a neighborhood community newspaper at GeoCities called the "Heartland Herald." When not parenting, messing around online or working he writes poetry, plays chess and poker, argues politics, reads science fiction, fusses around in a weed-infested garden, and tries to keep the family station wagon from joining its friends at the big junk yard in the sky.
JBailey (Jan Bailey, aka Calla)
jajsans@tima.com
Heartland 4773
Jan has lived in a rural setting all her life, so Heartland was an obvious choice for her. Gardening and plants are the theme of her page. Web graphics and design are a passion that she’s passed on to her kids, who design their own pages.
