Dial the GeoCities Audio Update line phone number: (800) 287-3661.
NOTE: You will be able to use this 800# to set up your audio message for the first time and once a week thereafter to change it. If you'd like to update your message more than once a week please use (410) 842-6644. Users autside the U.S. must use this (410) number for all calls.
The Interactive Voice System says: "Welcome to the GeoCities Dialweb Application, brought to you by TELET Communications and GeoCities. Please enter your 6-digit ID."
Type in your ID on telephone keypad
The Interactive Voice System says: "Please enter your passcode
Type in your 4-digit passcode on the telephone keypad.
The Interactive Voice System says: "Speak your message after the tone"
Speak your message and press #. You will have the option to listen to it to be sure it is satisfactory. If it is, confirm by following the instructions, otherwise you will be given the choice to re-record.
Once you have completed your update and hang up the phone your new message will appear on your GeoCities homepage within 10 seconds. Anyone clicking the link associated with your DialWeb URL will hear your message (provided they have RealAudio installed and properly configured on their computer).
