ALTERNATE NUMBERS


Please see http://help.mindspring.com/netstatus/psicap.html for a list of PoPs that are suffering capacity problems.


If you are using a number in the "Old Number" column to connect to MindSpring, please change to the new number. In many cases the old number will be disconnected sometime in the near future. Access numbers with "(Analog Only)" listed below them indicate that this change affects only analog connections (ISDN connections will not be affected). Access numbers in the "New Number" column with a * in front of them indicate an access number that MindSpring owns and operates. Through these numbers we will be able to provide improved performance over the number in the "Old Number" column. Look for more MindSpring access numbers soon. If you need assistance in changing the number you use to connect please e-mail technical support at support@mindspring.com or call them at (404)815-9111 or (800)719-4660. MindSpring technical support will not be able to assist you with connection problems if you are using the access number in the "Old Number" column.

Numbers with a * in front of them designate a MindSpring owned and operated number. You should change your DNS servers to 207.69.188.185, 207.69.188.186, and 207.69.188.187 for best results when moving to one of these numbers. If a number says (Analog Only) you should change numbers only if you are using an analog modem (not ISDN). WARNING: Toll charges may apply. Check with your telephone company before changing numbers to assure that the new number is a local call for you. MindSpring cannot be held responsible for toll charges.
