[Nupedia-l] General and Other editor and editorial changes?

I have a practical problem that needs solution, so I invite your brain
power. At present I am overworked and the project is suffering to some
extent as a result (but this could change anytime due to a variety of
reasons, all delightful and good--e.g., venture capital for an associate
editor and other stuff). I just don't have the time to find lead
reviewers for the articles listed on this page:

http://www.nupedia.com/newsystem/findlr.phtml?instr=on&arean=general

I am tempted to ask someone to take over the editorship of this
category, but then I'd simply be leaving my problem with him or her, and
it is a big problem. The problem is that it is VERY difficult to find
*specialists* on each of those topics. It's possible and I imagine
relatively easy to find people who are familiar with the topics, who
have Ph.D.'s in the areas in which those topics would be written (if the
groups were active).

I want to do one or both of the following:

(1) Ask someone else to be editor of "General and Other."
(2) Loosen the lead reviewer requirement so that, for example, the
person reviewing the article about "Robert C. Merton" could be just an
economist with broad knowledge of options pricing, rather than a
specialist.

I suspect that we'll have to do (2) whether or not we do (1). If a
qualified candidate replies to this mail and wants to take over the
category, I might hand it off to him or her. But then we'd still
probably have to do (2) in order to make the job doable.

It really is important in any case that our jobs be DOABLE. :-)
