Excerpts from Google chief Larry Page's address at the American Association for the Advancement of Science meeting in San Francisco February 2007. Larry Page urges for public engagement of science ideas through the media. He presents his ideas for getting people motivated about science and technology. He says we need to think about a whole new transport system. He says we need to work harder at making friends in the world, and cheap telecommunications makes this easier.
