Ifhamdarfur, a new site released by the Arabic Network
To provide information about the humanitarian crisis

Cairo, April 13, 2008,

On the occasion of the Global Day for Darfur, the Arabic Network for Human Rights Information released a new website today about Darfur titled "Ifhamdarfur" as it aims to provide information and different news related to Darfur. The website sheds light on this crisis which victims were estimated for about more than 200 thousands of killed and half million of homeless during five years.

Ifhamdarfur was to integrate and complete work of many human rights and humanitarian institutions just to end mass violations against the poor citizens who are not involved at all in this struggle which is away from being under focus or coverage, and that helped in widespread violations, especially that accurate information about the struggle and its reasons were absent. So the website aims to extend beyond that via the organized information gateway which provides the most recent news related to it.

Abdou Abdul-Aziz, the director of Ifhamdarfur website said "We don’t expect any decision to be made because of the lack of accurate information. so we are providing information in this website for Arab journalists and decision makers as many of them still don't know how tragic is the humanitarian crisis in Darfur. We also hope that the website contributes in running a large Arab dialogue that rejects this tragedy, end it and put a just solution for it.

The new website shall create a newsletter every half-week that deals with Darfur news in the Arab press. In addition to another weekly newsletter, besides republishing and gathering panoramic issues about the struggle developments.
