For now, let’s shine the spotlight on Karol G, who besides dropping catchy AF music selections in 2018 and headlining a U.S. tour is nominated for her first-ever Latin Grammy for Best Urban Song with “Mi Cama.”

Karol G & Maluma – “Creeme”
Karol G and Maluma kicked off November with their first-ever collaboration called “Creeme.” The song, which speaks about a couple who’s fighting for their love, also shows the love and support that exists within the Colombian music scene.
Karol G & Anuel AA – “Culpables”
With Anuel AA’s comeback in full swing, Karol teamed up with the Latin trap artist and blessed fans with “Culpables.” The single, which was released in September, peaked at No. 9 on the Hot Latin Songs chart (dated Oct. 6), where it spent two weeks in the top 10.
Pitbull, El Chombo, Karol G, featuring Cutty Ranks – “Dame Tu Cosita (Remix)”
Pitbull and Karol added their twist to El Chombo’s “Dame Tu Cosita,” which also features Cutty Ranks ranking at No. 20 on the Hot Latin Songs list (dated Oct. 10). The original song, however, peaked at No. 1 on the chart, dated May 12.
Luis Fonsi & Karol G – “Calypso (Remix)”
In August, Karol G jumped on Luis Fonsi’s “Calypso,” featuring Stefflon Don, dropping a remix that peaked at No. 1 on the Latin Airplay and Latin Rhythm Airplay charts, and No. 11 on the Hot Latin Songs chart (all dated Sept. 15).
Karol G & J Balvin, featuring Nicky Jam – “Mi Cama (Remix)”
G’s “Mi Cama” was a real banger in 2018. The remix, with J Balvin, featuring Nicky Jam, peaked at No. 6 on the Hot Latin Songs chart, No. 1 on the Latin Airplay chart, and No. 1 on the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart (all dated Aug. 25).
Antonio Orozco & Karol G – “Dicen”
In the summer, G collaborated with Spanish singer Orozco, dropping a catchy fusion between modern flamenco melodies and urban beats.
Moderatto featuring Karol G – “Caballero”
Karol is not afraid to get out of her comfort zone and this can be reflected in her collaboration with Mexican rock group Moderatto. The two acts combined their sounds to give life to “Caballero,” a rock song with hints of reggaeton.
TINI & Karol G – “Princesa”
Filling 2018 with nothing but female empowerment, Karol and Argentine singer TINI dropped “Princesa.” The song debuted at No. 49 on the Latin Airplay Chart (dated Aug. 11).
Karol G & Shaggy, featuring El Capitaan & Sekuence – “Tu Pum Pum”
Karol G surprised fans at the top of the year when she dropped a collab with Shaggy! The two artists gave a new twist to El General’s ’90s classic “Tu Pum Pum.”
Mau y Ricky, Karol G, featuring Becky G, Leslie Grace, Lali – “Mi Mala (Remix)”
After releasing “Mi Mala” with Mau & Ricky in Oct. 2017, which peaked at No. 21 on the Latin Rhythm airplay chart-dated May 26, the two Latin acts dropped the women anthem remix on Feb. 9, featuring Becky G, Leslie Grace, and Lali.
