4oD is now available to Freesat customers via the firm's 'Free Time' platform.

Viewers now have access to current Channel 4 programming on-demand, as well as classic material from the broadcaster's expansive archive.

"We're delighted that 4oD is now live on Free Time, further strengthening our on-demand offering with yet more brilliant programmes," said Freesat managing director Emma Scott.

"Our viewers can now watch their favourite Channel 4 shows in a variety of ways, giving them more opportunities to watch TV in the way they want to."

The move sees Freesat become the first UK television platform to host the HTML 5 version of 4oD, which joins BBC iPlayer, ITV Player and YouTube on Free Time.

Free Time launched last autumn, bringing a raft of new features to Freesat, including a backward guide that lets viewers watch content that has already been broadcast, as well as recommendations and recording services.
