The following article contains allegations of sexual misconduct that some readers may find distressing.

Sir Richard Branson has apologised after facing accusations of inappropriate behaviour involving Joss Stone backing singer Antonia Jenae.

Jenae alleged to The Sun that the Virgin founder rubbed his face in her breasts at a party on Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands in 2010.

She told the newspaper: "His behaviour was disgusting. I feel like it was sexual assault."

A spokesman for Virgin Management apologised on Branson's behalf and said that he had no recollection of the incident.

"Joss Stone, members of her family and band were invited to Necker in June 2010. Everyone appeared to enjoy their time," the spokesman said.

"Richard has no recollection of this matter. Neither do his family and friends who were with him at the time. There would never have been any intention to offend or make anyone feel uncomfortable. Richard apologises if anyone felt that way."

Jenae alleged that the incident occurred after she and Stone had played a gig.
