Health Ministry: Two deaths, 8 injured on second day of referendum

Two people died of natural causes on Wednesday, which marked the second day of referendum, the Health Ministry said.

 

One case was in Assiut, while the other was in Minya.

 

In a statement on Thursday, the ministry added that “eight persons were injured in Assiut, Menoufia, Kafr al-Sheikh, Alexandria, Gharbiya and Minya. Two cases were allowed out of hospitals after their situation improved, while the other six are still being treated.” Three cases suffer diseases, while the other five have different injuries.

Counting the ballots started late on Wednesday at subcommittees.
