GOVERNOR DAVIS PROCLAIMS FEBRUARY 6, 2002 "RONALD REAGAN DAY" IN CALIFORNIA

 

SACRAMENTO - Governor Gray Davis today proclaimed February 6, 2002 "Ronald Reagan Day" in California. Ronald Wilson Reagan was born on February 6, 1911 and celebrates his 91st birthday today.

 

"Throughout his career, President Reagan was committed to promoting opportunities for the citizens of California and our nation. Happy birthday President Reagan."

 

Before becoming active in politics, Ronald Reagan was a construction worker, lifeguard, radio announcer, airforce serviceman and actor.

 

From 1967-1975, Ronald Reagan served the people of California as the 33rd Governor of the State of California. He is the only California governor to become President of the United States.
