- Heroes Nears Release
3DO announced today that their latest strategy title, Heroes of Might and Magic III has gone gold and is being mass produced for a release in early March. IGN-PC managed to get their hands on a pre-release copy of the game and have a preview up here. - Take-Two Interactive Subsidiary Goes Global
Jack of All Games, one of Take-Two Interactive's budget title publishing houses announced today that it would be opening up new sales and distribution offices in New York, London, Paris and Sydney to expand its reach from its existing Cincinnati, Ohio office. As part of the move, Take-Two has merged another one of their subsidiaries, Alliance Inventory Management, Inc. (whose NY based operation will provide a home for the new company) with Jack of All Games to form a new company that will be known as Jack of All Games NY. The remaining offices will also be formed out of such mergers with Take-Two's London and Paris based LDA Distribution becoming Jack of All Games UK and Jack of All Games France respectively and the Sydney based Directsoft, Pty. Ltd becoming Jack of All Games Australia. - GT Interactive Goes Small
Wizardworks, the GT Interactive subsidiary that brought us Deer Hunter and Deep Sea Trophy Fishing has decided to start developing titles for the Windows CE platform. In the early morning press-release the company named five titles, Crossword Puzzles, Fun Pack, America's Greatest Card Games, Solitare Pack Vol. 1, and Casino Pack that will be released this March in a new Games to Go! product lineup. The games should hit shelves at a street price of about $19.99 apiece.
