Three Houthi rebels captured in Sana’a

A group of three men accused of supporting al-Houthis armed rebellion have been captured in al-Juraf area in Sana'a, security source said on Thursday.

 

"The three-member group were running a media center for distributing CDs containing information about al-Houthis and the war to the journalists, websites and newspapers promoting the terrorist and sabotage acts of the al-Houthi rebels," The army 26 September website quoted the security source as saying.

 

The security source refused to mention the names of the captured and said the chairman of the group is Islamic studies teacher and another man is working in one of GSM companies.

 

"The group have received training on media promotion and dubbing in one of Arab countries and they received assistance from an expert in an Asian country," the source said. 

 

"The group was also running the websites promoting for al-Houthi and imamate ideas and providing the journalists with news about the armed confrontations in Sa'ada through SMS or e-mail," "They exaggerate the news on the way to raise the morale of al-Houthi rebels," the source added.

 

The source added the group members were sending information about the public opinion tendencies to Abdul Malek and Yahya al-Houthi and they also send some pictures to some foreign newspapers including the American Janavour Newspaper.

 

The group confessed that they have received support from some families of Al Hameed al-Deen, Imam Family, the source added.
