From the beginning

Nuage Networks from Nokia was created to solve the problem of making network resources as effortlessly consumable as IT compute and storage. We recognized the common challenges faced by enterprises who were digitally transforming their businesses and rapidly adopting the use of cloud across their core IT systems and out at their remote branches.

For them, speed of business was increasing, changes were becoming more rapid and this increased the complexity of their IT and wide area networking. With their use of multi-tenant clouds and widely spread branch locations, we structured our network automation solutions based on Software Defined Networking (SDN) technologies, to remove the traditional networking hurdles associated with digital transformation, thus aligning the IT and wide area networking capabilities to their business needs.

Our unique approach

From inception, we envisioned that enterprises would desire to purchase their networking as a service, and so designed the solution around a strong multi-tenanted framework that would scale with the demands of the largest Service Providers as they evolved their managed services capabilities to deliver seamless IT, branch and cloud network services with embedded security to thousands of enterprise customers.

To make this vision a reality

We introduced a Software Defined Networking (SDN) platform to deliver end to end network automation that addresses the two key markets for network virtualization and automation:

Wide area networking on your terms

Known today as SD-WAN 2.0, our multi-cloud enabled enterprise wide area networking solution is delivered by over 70 managed service providers to enterprises around the globe. Whether on-premise, or hosted in the cloud, enterprises have the flexibility to choose from a managed SD-WAN service or a DIY approach. The benefits of SD-WAN 2.0 include embedded security, enhanced visibility into the business traffic across the WAN and improved application control and performance though centralized application, security and network policies.

With our SD-WAN 2.0 solution, hundreds of enterprises spanning healthcare, finance, retail, energy, manufacturing, data analytics and many other industries and governments have benefitted from an enhanced wide area networking environment that extends their scope of control from the IT application to the user, regardless of location.

Powering the network of the Telco Cloud

The same SDN technology that powers our SD-WAN 2.0 solution is being applied to the core networks of the largest Service Providers as they move from traditional telecommunications platforms to the new virtualized network function environments required for next generation 5G and broadband services.

Nuage Networks from Nokia provides the network virtualization and automation that allows these core service platforms to scale up and scale out to meet the demands of millions of subscribers and is a fundamental part of next generation Telco cloud and telecommunications evolution.

The cloud has made us all promises. Our mission is to help you keep them.
