Even stars would do anything for love — including a religious conversion, a process that can take months to years, before tying the knot.

The latest celebrity is actress Zooey Deschanel, who reportedly converted to Judaism for husband Jacob Pechenik, according to US Weekly Magazine.

The “New Girl” star kept her June marriage secret and in the same quiet tone, gave birth to daughter, Elsie, in August.

The conversion is surprising for the 35-year-old who never identified as a religious person.

“In the end, I was like, ‘Eh.’ I mean I’m interested in theology, and I love reading about it. But I don’t attach myself to any one religion or other,” she told website, Vulture, in 2011.

The new mom and wife joins a tribe of celebrities who have converted their faith, either for a spouse or their family.

Here are 10 other stars who have made a religious change — dating all the way back to Marilyn Monroe and her second marriage:

Katie Holmes

Topping the list is Katie Holmes, who is perhaps known best for her marriage to Scientologist Tom Cruise.

Holmes never officially converted from Catholicism, but she did begin to practice and study Scientology in 2005 — just a few months after she started dating the couch-jumping actor.

In 2012, the same year of her high-profile divorce, the Huffington Post reported the actress had registered as a parishioner in a New York Catholic church.

Isla Fisher

The funny lady was so in love with her beau, Sacha Baron Cohen, that she spent three years preparing for her conversion.

“I will definitely have a Jewish wedding just to be with Sacha. I would do anything — move into any religion — to be united in marriage with him,” she told the Evening Standard after the pair got engaged in 2004.

The couple finally wed in 2010.

Jack Black

Despite being raised in the Jewish faith, the comedian long identified as an atheist.

However, the “School of Rock” actor told the Guardian in 2013 that he has started to go back to synagogue.

And, he’s doing it for his family, as he is raising his two children as Jewish.

Janet Jackson

The singer reportedly converted to Islam after marrying Wissam Al Mana.

The music star is very private about her 2012 marriage — not even going public with it until 2013.

Several media outlets, including MSN, have reported Jackson’s conversion to her husband’s faith.

It would be a possible explanation for her recent change to conservative clothing.

Ivanka Trump

The socialite and entrepreneur was raised Presbyterian.

She converted to Judaism in 2008 for her marriage to real estate mogul and newspaper publisher, Jared Kushner.

“I really find that with Judaism, it creates an amazing blueprint for family connectivity,” she once told Vogue magazine.

She was also a long-time advocate for Jewish causes. The actress even once offered to take the place of Israeli hostages kidnapped in 1976 in Uganda.

Tom Arnold

Mazel tov! The actor is one of few male celebrities to convert for marriage.

He picked up Judaism after he marred comedian Roseanne Barr in 1990.

He continues to practice long after their divorce in 1994 .

“It’s easier to deal with anything that comes your way, if you can hand it over to something bigger than yourself,” he told the Jewish Journal in 2010.
