Executive producer Dean Devlin took to Twitter Thursday to share bad news for fans of "The Librarians" -- TNT has canceled the show, which films in and around Portland. Devlin wrote: "Just got the official call. TNT has cancelled - I will immediately begin the process of trying to move the show elsewhere. Please keep your fingers crossed for us!"

"The Librarians" recently aired its Season 4 finale. The fantasy-adventure, about a group of brilliant "librarians" who go on missions to save the world from evil, starred Rebecca Romijn, Christian Kane, Lindy Booth, John Harlan Kim, John Larroquette and, in a recurring role, Noah Wyle.

It was recently reported by Variety and other entertainment sources that Wyle had been cast in the pilot of a CBS drama called "Red Line," whose executive producers include Ava DuVernay ("A Wrinkle in Time") and prolific TV producer Greg Berlanti.

Devlin's Electric Entertainment has filmed on location in Portland before, with the TNT series, "Leverage," which ended in 2012, and the feature film, "Bad Samaritan," starring David Tennant, which opens in May.
