Hamas justifies IS’ brutal murder of Jordanian pilot
Moaz Al-Kasasbeh was a Jordanian fighter pilot whose plane crashed in northern Syria during a military operation targeting Islamic State. Kasasbeh was captured by IS militants and brutally executed on Jan. 3, 2015. Islamic State released footage of the execution on Feb. 3, 2015, showing Kasasbeh being burned alive in a cage.

"In a post on his Facebook page, senior Hamas official and Hamas Legislative Council member Yahya Musa said… ‘Savagery, backwardness, cruelty, barbarity. But I hold the [Jordanian] political leadership that sent Moaz Al-Kasasbeh, the Obama administration and the corrupt Arab regime responsible.’ On the same issue, Hamas Legislative Council member Sheikh Salem Salameh said that the Jordanian government is responsible for the death of its pilot, Moaz Al-Kasasbeh. He said that his burning by IS harms Islam’s image and abuses Islam, as the group could have killed the pilot in a different way, exchanged him for prisoners or pardoned him.
In a statement to the Raya Ramallah radio station, Salameh added: ‘The Jordanian government was the one who decided to send its army to Syria to aid the government [in its war] against the rebels – a war it did not have to interfere in. It should have taken the same position as Turkey.’
He said: ‘IS are considered Muslims, one way or another, and we must not stand beside the enemies of Allah against the people of Allah.’”
