Allegheny Regional Asset District
For over 25 years, the Allegheny Regional Asset District – RAD – has invested in Allegheny County's quality of life through financial support of libraries, parks and trails, arts and cultural organizations, regional attractions, sports and civic facilities, and public transit.
With half of the proceeds from Allegheny County's additional one percent sales and use tax, RAD has invested more than $2 billion in our regional assets since its inception. An additional $2 billion has gone directly to the County and its 128 municipalities for property tax relief and local government services. RAD is a time-tested solution that works for the economy, for assets, for citizens, for municipalities – for all. RAD works here.

Tonight! Eco-Justice for All! Reading with CAConrad • Fri, Jul 16, 7:00 PM EDT • Register now for free at alphabetcity.org or the free programs link in our bio

Eco-Justice for All! Poetry Confronts Climate Catastrophe is a project developed by City of Asylum’s Poet Laureate of Allegheny County Celeste Gainey. Through live performance, poets grapple with language as means of influencing the urgent climate crisis and all those it affects.

The July installment features CAConrad. The Pennsylvania-born poet, author of Ecodeviance: (Soma)tics for Future Wildness, brings together poetry and ritual to contemplate life and the self. From the cosmic to the mundane. CAConrad's reading will be followed by conversation with Poet Laureate of Allegheny County Celeste Gainey exploring their approach to writing for environmental justice. Streamed virtually through City of Asylum @ Home.
