Demi Lovato's new single, "Confident," is the kind of self-empowerment anthem that makes you realize you can achieve literally anything, and the singer just sufficiently proved the power of her own music.

Today, Wilhelmina Models announced that the predictably confident 23-year-old has joined their agency. She always basically looked like a model, but now she actually is one.

Demi will be joining the ranks of top catwalkers like Soo Joo Park, Neelam Gill, Sora Choi, and...Nick Jonas. (OK, so he's not a catwalker — yet — but he is a Wilhelmina model.)

“I'm thrilled to sign my first major modeling contract with Wilhelmina,” Demi said in a statement. “I’m very excited to see where our work together will go creatively as I enter the next phase of my career and continue to develop as an artist.”

It's refreshing to see a girl so dedicated to preaching body positivity on a model roster. Demi has been candid about her health struggles in the past, never shying away from opening up about overcoming an eating disorder or going to rehab. She frequently credits exercise with helping her feel happy again — just last month, she told us that working out is her meditation — and all the gym-time has clearly paid off, both physically and mentally.

One word of advice to photo editors everywhere: Whatever you do, do not digitally alter her to appear skinnier. "A lot of times I get frustrated because people will, without my consent, Photoshop my body, and it doesn't look like my own body [anymore]," she said in a recent interview. "Like, no, no, no, my thighs are bigger than that, can you put them back to the way they were? I've literally done that before where I'm like, ‘Put my legs back on me. Those aren't my legs.’"

Just because she's a model doesn't mean she has to conform to your standards of beauty. Leave Demi's legs alone, please.
