13 wishful actions Asian leaders hoped to take this year

1. Could I have a dream that Mr. Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China; President-elect of the People’s Republic of China, will play a greater role in the global peace of the yellow continent and the world? Shops and houses are filled with Chinese goods, but China’s interest in peace , security and welfare of those who manufacture, sell and buy those goods is far from being enough.

2. Could I have a dream that Mr. Jong-un, North Korean leader, work for welfare of his people more than he does for building nuclear missiles? If he used to track the steps China intellectually, he must follow the Chinese steps economically for the benefit of his people as well.

3. Could I have a dream that a new beginning would be started by the South Korean president-elect Ms. Park Geun-hye in a different way to promote dialogue with the other half of the peninsula North Korea as a prelude to the unification dreamt of? If realized, history will keep her and her counterpart’s names forever.

4. Could I have a dream that the new Japanese Prime Minister Mr. Shinzo Abe, would lead a revolution to export Japanese technology to the Third World, along with the exported cars and electronic devices and home appliances?

5. Could I have a dream that Mr. Ban Ki-moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations, will appreciate the work of media under the danger circumstances? Asian journalists have sacrificed their lives in defense of freedom of speech, and suffered from serious risks, that made it impossible for them to cover some of the events because of political obstacles, so why does not UN give media teams certain protection? The United Nations must not depend on lies of some official resources, and here comes the role of independent journalists to be protected.

6. Could I have a dream that Mr. President Mahmoud Abbas, of the State of Palestine, will continue his efforts for restoring his country’s capital, Jerusalem and the full borders of his country?

7. Could I have a dream that Indian Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh will go further for keeping Indian women’s security, by providing them with legal protection effectively in the streets, where the Indian women fall victims of 90 percent of the daily violence there.

8. Could I have a dream that Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari will arrange enough procedures for protecting his people from his allies; as U.S. aircrafts continue hitting the country by air, while extremists are threatening it by land.

9. Could I have a dream that Afghan President Hamid Karzai can restore his country’s security? The Afghan city of Ghazni is chosen to be the Asian capital of Islamic culture 2013, Will Afghans feel that they are celebrating a new era?

10. Can I dream that Iranian President Ahmadinejad will waive his efforts for supporting dictatorship to gain the respect from the world? The Iranians are  people known to be excel in science and arts.

11. Could I have a dream that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan would realize the fact that his country has more things to do as Asian country than things it can do when being accepted as a member of European Union. It still has to satisfy Europe for accepting Turkey in the Paradise European Union. My message to him is that Islamic caliphate is no longer valid for our age, rather he is supposed to play better part in the region. He has to take care of ethnic groups inside Turkey, as well taking care of the neighborhood countries.

12. Could I have a dream that Myanmar opposition leader Aung Sang Suu Kyi could help her citizens of Muslims being safe from the bloody conflict between them and the Buddhists? She and her family had a struggle for the democracy, so she must take steps to heal the rift for the peaceful coexistence of all multi-ethnic groups.

13. Could I have a dream that Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States, Mr. Abdul Latif Rashid Al Zayani would help for developing a comprehensive plan for the Cooperation Council countries to offer fair regulations for the Asian laborers, as the Asians are suffering from many forms of human slavery, it needs a great effort to spread democracy.

Finally, I wish you all leaders a happy new year, so what do you wish for your peoples?
