NEW PERENNIALIST LANDSCAPE DESIGN
TUESDAY, MAY 18, 2021
6:30PM - 8:00PM
Registration is required for this event.
Landscape designer Piet Oudolf created magnificent public plantings such as Chicago's Lurie Garden and the entrance garden at Toronto Botanic Garden. They model a new landscaping style – New Perennialist - that uses integrated plant communities using many of our own prairie natives. There are challenges to translating Oudolf's style to fit our smaller, often shadier gardens and colder climate. Fortunately, other designers in Canada and elsewhere have adapted designs. During this session, Master Gardener Linda Dietrick will introduce the New Perennialist style and show how it can be adapted for our local needs. A Zoom link to attend is sent when you register. This event will not be recorded.
