Q. How do I request, pick up, and borrow items? Most of the books and DVDs in Charles Library are housed in the BookBot. Select books are available in the 4th floor open browsing area. Items in the BookBot have an item location of “BookBot” and items located in the 4th floor open browsing have the location of “Stacks.”
Request books online using the “How to get this” button. You’ll receive an email when your book is ready for pickup. Find your book on the shelves just behind the One Stop Assistance desk. Items are shelved alphabetically by last name. Books will remain on the hold shelves for 10 days.
Most videos and DVDs are also in the BookBot. To request a DVD from the BookBot, use the "How to get this" button. Browse DVDs
by genre, language, or new arrivals. DVDs on reserve for specific courses can be viewed using USB DVD drives and portable DVD players that are available at the One Stop Assistance desk.
Current Temple students, faculty, and staff are also welcome to borrow materials from our other Temple Libraries locations using their current Temple Owlcard. See Borrowing
for more details.
