Abundant Brands, headquartered in American Fork, has acquired Bajio Mexican Grill and franchising rights from Franchise Brands, a subsidiary of the Connecticut-based Doctor's Associates Inc., doing business as Subway.

"As a Bajio franchisee for the past four years, we have seen the brand grow from just six stores in Utah to 47 stores in 11 states," said Logan Hunter, CEO and Chairman of Abundant Brands. "With Jason Stowe, one of Bajio's original founding partners, assuming the role of company president, we are confident this growth will continue."

Abundant Brands also has hired William Bruce as chief operating officer and Curtis Dye as director of marketing.

Hunter notes Bajio has a significant market presence in Utah, with 25 restaurants statewide.

Abundant Brands, a multiconcept restaurant franchisor, has been a partner in the opening of over 250 restaurants in 12 states.
