Julo expands lending platform despite COVID headwinds

Indonesian lending platform Julo has secured up to $60 million from Japanese financial services firm Credit Saison.

JAKARTA -- Indonesian peer-to-peer lending (P2P) platform Julo has secured up to $60 million in Series B funding from Japanese financial services firm Credit Saison, according to regulatory filings.

Credit Saison has invested $30 million to pick up Julo's Series B2 shares at $63.77 apiece. It has also been issued options to acquire Series B3 shares for another $30 million, according to the startup's filings with Singapore's Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA).
