Carnegie India provides independent analysis on India’s pressing challenges and the rising role of India in the world. Our work is led by experienced scholars with decades of international and domestic policy experience who are not only of the region but also crucially connected to Carnegie’s global network of expertise. Your support enables us to offer strategic insight and innovative ideas that advance India's growth in multiple ways.
Permanent endowment support contributes to both our long-term financial stability and our independence as we choose research topics that advance our mission.
Program support allows our scholars to develop broad research areas that advance the understanding of India’s role in a crowded, contested, and chaotic world and marketplace of ideas. Learn more about our three programs:
Technology and Society
Our scholars provide grounded insight for decisionmakers on issues related to a rising India’s role in the world, such as data privacy, central bank digital currencies, OTT and encryption, land markets, state capacity, and border security. Financial support for specific projects promotes rigorous, independent research around current policy issues that fall within our broader program themes.
