File:NettoauslandsvermögenUSen.PNG edit

These numbers are 10X too high, on both left and right axes. (see data at https://www.census.gov/foreign-trade/balance/c0004.html) 2602:306:CEC1:2890:F4A9:5697:6DD:F26C 00:17, 9 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Objection:

1) Similar graph, same numbers:

2) The source above refers to trade, not to the Net international Investment Position, which is something different, of course. --Alex1011 (talk) 09:41, 9 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Keep: This file is in use on several Wikipedia articles, from en:Foreign trade of the United States to ru:История США (1980—1991). As explained on COM:NPOV, Commons should not delete a file that's used by another project just because it's inaccurate. More appropriate responses to inaccurate files include:
  • Discussing the matter on File talk:NettoauslandsvermögenUSen.PNG
  • Uploading a corrected version under the same name (if no-one objects: see COM:OVERWRITE)
  • Uploading a corrected version under a different name
  • Updating the file description page to explain the problem
  • Requesting that the file be renamed (see COM:FR), but probably not while this DR is open.

Keep:The graph is not inaccurate, as I have argued above. 1) Different author provides similar graph. 2) Data provided as counter-evidence do not show Net International Investment Position but trade balances. --Alex1011 (talk) 19:14, 10 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: no valid reason for deletion. --DaB. (talk) 14:07, 8 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
