Football logos edit

I was responsible for creating the article about Club Sportivo 2 de Mayo in Portuguese. At the time, I suspected the authenticity of the emblem, but I didn't pursue the matter due to lack of time. To be honest, the emblem of the club in question didn't match reality. This is the second case (see) I've encountered in a week, and I believe there might be more. Conde Edmond Dantès Which emblem are you refering to? Jonteemil (talk) 04:21, 22 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
In short, the two files that do not match reality are from the clubs 2 de Mayo and Atenas. The point I am highlighting is the possibility of other emblems of Latin sports clubs being fake. Conde Edmond Dantès (talk) 16:36, 22 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Of course there is always a possibility of some guy uploading fake emblems to Commons. If you see an emblem that is of now educational use, you may nominate it for deletion, as you have done. The 2 de Mayo logo seems to have already been deleted. Jonteemil (talk) 16:51, 22 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Re: File:Lesser Coat of Arms of Ukraine.svg edit

The October 2022 version has a smaller file size but with less precision. It is not even symmetric. Mike Rohsopht (talk) 04:21, 26 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

About a user edit

I think this user named "Chhanchhana zote hmar" (I think you are familiar with them) is uploading hundreds of similar photos, adding watermarks and sometimes containing some exif data and sometimes don't. Those are really suspicious to me. Seems like downloading from somewhere and reuploading with their own editings. They never listened and never attempted to listen to any of the notifications in the talk page. Btw, most of their pictures are ineligible to be in existence in Commons, I believe so. Is there any need to contact an admin for speedy deletions? That person was already told by an admin "You will be blocked soon" in the talk page months ago. What shall we do now? And regarding the notification, I need to ask you something. I had tagged more than 20 files (uploaded by that user) as "No permission since". Do I need to add one notification for each file? Wouldn't it be exhaustive? Can we sum up? --Haoreima (talk) 19:13, 27 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I'm aware about the user and I posted COM:ANB#Chhanchhana zote hmar a few days ago to get the user blocked. Hopefully they can block him. He has also been blocked before but that seems to mainly be because he uploaded copyvios. When tagging files with {{No permission since}} I suggest using COM:VisualFileChange which tags and notifies the users automatically, among other things. If you choose to do it manually, which you intentionally or unintentionally is doing, then you have to manually notify the uploader of all the files which have been tagged. The files can be listed under the same notification header, see for example User talk:كامل الزين which is how VisualFileChange does it.
About the copyright, one file has been tagged with {{Permission received}}, if that turns out to be correct, then I think we can assume the rest are to. Jonteemil (talk) 19:31, 27 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Block Warning edit

You told me I uploaded a file that violates copyright Please I don't understand Iamakisah (talk) 11:28, 28 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Iamakisah: Yes. You uploaded files that were copyright violations. You were warned. Then you still uploaded File:Victoria United FC (Opopo).png which is a copyright violation. I then gave you a final warning. If upu upload any more copyright violations, you will be blocked. Jonteemil (talk) 12:52, 28 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

File:Tavant Logo-Transparent.png edit

File:Tavant Logo-Transparent.png has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Russia in 2021 Championships edit

In this Commons:Deletion requests/Files in Category:SVG flags of Russia-discussion you were unsure of correct license. And they got deleted. But do you have an idea of what to use instead as a flagsubstitute? Best regards Migrant (talk) 21:59, 28 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

No, sorry, I don't. Jonteemil (talk) 09:35, 29 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
