CommonsTicker was a tool by User:Duesentrieb (contact) that notifies Wikimedia projects of changes to files hosted on Wikimedia Commons those projects use or link to. The tool has to be set up on each project separately, and installations are independent.

While CommonsTicker contains a bot which inserts notifications into the CommonsTicker notification pages, the tool interacts with Wikimedia Commons only passively, namely by analyzing the log of changes.
