Telecom Egypt (TE) has called on its employees to register their and their families’ data on the Ministry of Health and Population website to obtain the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine.

In an internal statement, TE explained the method of registration and steps in preparation for receiving the vaccine at the company’s various headquarters, starting with the headquarters in the Smart Village. This will take place in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Population.

In the statement, the company set a maximum limit of 8 June for employees to register their data to start vaccination procedures.

The National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) had asked mobile companies operating in the Egyptian market to motivate their employees to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. This was particularly aimed at employees working in branches and service centres who are dealing directly with users.

The NTRA directed mobile companies to take all preventive and precautionary measures approved by the Ministry of Health and Population, while providing all services to users in their branches and affiliated service centres.

This comes as part of the agency’s keenness to support the state’s plan to curb the coronavirus, and to ensure the safety of those using telecommunication services through company branches and service centres.
