Egypt has sent three military planes loaded with tonnes of medicines and medical supplies provided by the Ministry of Health and Population to Tunisia.

This came as a contribution to Tunisian efforts to fight the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, according to the official spokesperson for the Armed Forces.

The Tunisian side expressed their deep appreciation for Egypt, stressing that such assistance reflects the spirit of brotherhood and cooperation between the two brotherly nations.

On 10 July, Egypt also sent two trucks carrying more than 31 tonnes of medical supply to Tunisia, whose medical sector has suffered badly due to the pandemic.
