HDB wins two awards for being most efficient bank in providing mobile and internet banking services

The Housing and Development Bank (HDB) won World Business Outlook ‘Most Reliable Mobile Banking Service Provider in Egypt Award’ and ‘Most Reliable Internet Banking Service Provider in Egypt Award’ for 2022 this week.

World Business Outlook aims to highlight the outstanding achievements of financial and economic institutions around the world.

These awards are granted according to a number of specialised technical criteria according to the evaluation of elite experts in all fields.

Chairperson and Managing Director of the HDB Hassan Ghanem expressed his happiness with this global honour. He said that it is the culmination of the continuous efforts made by the bank over the past period — especially in the field of digital transformation and the provision of electronic banking services — and its implementation of an ambitious strategy that qualified it to become one of the largest commercial banks In Egypt.

 

This was done by developing and modernising its technological infrastructure, providing it with the latest digital systems and pumping growing investments to achieve rapid and successive digital transformation in support of the state and CBE’s efforts to transform into a cashless society as it is considered the safest, most accurate, and flexible way to execute a transaction.

He explained that as part of the implementation of the development plan set by the bank to expand its digital banking services, the HDB launched a new package of services to support its digital banking strategy through its HDB NET internet and mobile banking service, which represents one of the main pillars of digital development and enhances the principle of dealing with the bank at any time and any place effectively and safely.

 

The second version of HDB Net was launched to include the activation of more digital services, including nearly 50 services, the most important of which is the possibility of making transfers between local accounts outside the bank, credit cards, and prepaid cards, in addition to opening new accounts, linking and breaking savings certificates, paying various loan instalments, and other distinguished services through which customers can manage their bank accounts with ease and security.
