About the library

The national research library for law - with over 300,000 legal texts, online databases and focused legal research projects.

IALS has one of the largest law research libraries in Europe. It is particularly rich in the law of the UK, Commonwealth and European countries, the USA and EU, as well as foreign, international and comparative law. IALS also manages several legal archive collections.

IALS is part of the Senate House Libraries at the University of London. The main University of London libraries catalogue is available online.
