About the library

Keele University Library holds nearly 500,000 volumes across 3 libraries. Particular strengths include Law, Health and the Humanities, as well as a Special Collections department which holds multiple collections of local and national interest:

  • Campus Library - situated on Keele's green hillside campus, this holds the majority of the non-Health collections
  • Health Library - sited at the Royal Stoke Hospital for the needs of nursing and medical students as well as hospital staff
  • The Library also provides the catalogue for the Library, Education and Resource Centre at the Mid-Staffordshire Postgraduate Medical Centre, at the County Hospital in Stafford

Can I obtain items via inter-library loan? Yes - subject to the library's local lending policy. See their website for details. You must request an inter-library loan via a library of which you are a member. Talk to your own library staff for advice on ordering an item.

Can I visit the library to view materials? If you wish to visit it is advisable to contact the library in advance to ensure that they can accommodate you and that the material you need will be available.
