About the library

Libraries & Collections is a key division within the Directorate of Students and Education at King’s College London, supporting the institution’s teaching, learning, research and administrative activity. King's Libraries offer a huge multidisciplinary information resource base including over 1.2 million printed books and ebooks; more than 60,000 journals, reference tools, statistical data, official publications, maps, music scores, multimedia resources, photographs and manuscripts.

There are six campus libraries providing information resources relevant to all the subjects taught locally. In addition we have a range of unique material available in our Archives, which includes the Liddell Hart Centre for Military Archives, and the Foyle Special Collections Library holds over 200,000 items – printed books, pamphlets and periodicals, as well as maps, slides, manuscripts, typescripts and photographs – ranging in date from the 15th century to the present day.

Libraries & Collections also offers a portfolio of services to King’s Health Partners an extensive network of affiliated organisations including NHS staff from three internationally renowned trusts: King’s College Hospital, Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals, and South London & Maudsley.
