The Saudi Council of Economic and Development Affairs is one of two Subcabinets[1][2] of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is led by the Secretary General of the Royal Court, who is Minister of the Defense and a junior member of the Sudairi Seven political faction. The Council is made up of the head of Intellegence and nine ministers. All members of the Council are appointed by royal decree[3].It was established by King Salman to replace the a dozen more focused bodies in January of 2015.
